Welcome to Harlem HypnoBirthing®

Here at Harlem HypnoBirthing® our goal is to support you with empowering tools so you can bring your baby safely and gently into the world.

The HypnoBirthing® childbirth method is as much a philosophy of birth as it is a technique for achieving a satisfying, relaxing, and stress-free birthing experience.  HypnoBirthing® teaches you, and your birthing companion, the art and joy of experiencing birth in a more comfortable manner. You will learn to call upon your body’s natural relaxant and thus lessen or eliminate discomfort and the need for medication.  When a birthing person is properly prepared for childbirth and when mind and body are in harmony, nature is free to function in the same well-designed manner that it does with all other creatures.

With HypnoBirthing® you’ll learn how to use your natural birthing instincts, free yourself from fears and negative emotions surrounding birthing and be aware and in full control as your body remains deeply relaxed.

My husband and I took Elizabeth‘s HypnoBirthing class during our second trimester, while expecting our first baby. It was also at the very beginning of covid-19 and quarantine in NYC. Taking this class was a beacon of light each week. Elizabeth gave us so much information and strategies for preparing for birth. In truth, so much of this was applicable in just preparing for life and it’s many unknowns, particularly when you’re expecting your first child. We loved having such a grounding practice to work though all the prenatal feelings and plans. And ultimately, HypnoBirthing was tremendously supportive and useful for the birth of our daughter. We also loved meeting the other expectant parents.

Elizabeth’s kind, confident, nonjudgmental, and clear teaching and facilitation helped us to comprehend and adopt the tools that were right for us. Her passion for birth work and supporting families is palpable, and she made us so comfortable in HypnoBirthing and the process of what to expect could happen in birth. With Elizabeth’s sage guidance, my husband and I used the HypnoBirthing tools regularly up until and through the birth. I was able to meet my desire of an unmedicated hospital birth, and we both felt tremendously satisfied by the experience. If you are seeking a positive, supportive and deep practice to support your birth, let this be the easiest choice of your pregnancy: take HypnoBirthing class with Elizabeth!

As first time soon-to-be parents, my partner and I desperately needed a guide to help us prepare for the birthing process. Elizabeth was the perfect guide. In her warm and knowledgeable way, Elizabeth guided us through Hypnobirthing classes in the comfort of in-home sessions including a perfectly curated small group experience. The classes equipped us with the practical information and tools we needed to feel a sense of confidence that we could tackle whatever lay ahead of us. Although I ended up having a cesarean birth, the techniques I learned in this Hypnobirthing class helped me immensely to relax, breathe and focus on the well-being of my baby. We would highly recommend Elizabeth and Liminal Birth Services to anyone who wants to embark on the birthing process feeling empowered and fearless. And it’s worth noting that the treats she provides makes the class sessions as delicious as they are informative!

Elizabeth is a wonderful HypnoBirthing teacher! Elizabeth provided private, in-home classes for us and we felt very comfortable in her nurturing presence. Each class had a nice flow of information, combined with time spent practicing HypnoBirthing techniques. Elizabeth guided us through meditations and exercises that made us feel confident, connected and relaxed. By the end of our sessions, we felt well prepared to continue practicing the techniques on our own. We are feeling more secure and confident that we will have a calm and happy birthing experience. We would recommend Elizabeth to anyone who wants to have a HypnoBirthing birth!
